As promised, Ashley arrived shortly after sunset that evening. He slipped over the fence and up the trellis, tumbling in through the window and dusting himself off. Though he didn't immediately see his new lover in the darkness, Ashley was unconcerned. Scarecrow would no doubt be busy with other things, or he would merely be lurking in a shadow ready to snatch Ashley.

Pleased by the prospect, Ashley tossed his hair once, skimming his fingertips along the back of a chair as he headed through the library to go in search of Scarecrow. He didn't bother calling aloud to introduce himself, preferring simply to wander.
