lonelystrength: (uh what)

"I know," Satoru agrees, brow furrowing. Suguru had been bringing such nuanced emotion to the song, and Satoru had just been following her lead on it, which sections needed more intensity or softness. Satoru had brought complexity and innovation to the music, understanding instinctively how to best accentuate the emotions already layered into the lyrics. But in terms of how to add emotions in the performance, Satoru's at a loss and she knows it. Especially when she doesn't really understand the song. She could see the possibilities of it, appreciate lyrics and narrative, could feel the resonance of it, but what to ... do with it? Emotionally?

She rubs a hand against the back of her head, sheepish, and then shrugs. They'd workshopped so many aspects of the song yesterday, and this one makes sense as the next priority, but Satoru doesn't have anything to offer. "What do you want me to do?"
