The bus rides between spots are usually Suguru's time to write or fine tune one of her songs, or fiddle with a guitar and try to compose. It doesn't always work that way, depending on what's going on, but it's better than trying to sleep and failing for various reasons. She doesn't have to be up super early, and their next venue is only a six- or seven-hour drive away. Originally, Suguru had planned to do something like that and then crash out once they reached their stopping point.
Of course, Satoru had to change that.
She doesn't expect to sleep, but with Satoru there, she isn't going to go sit on the couch and compose. Not that it wouldn't be weird, they did work together in the past, and as their current endeavor shows, they can riff off each other. But Suguru's already let down too many walls for Satoru, and she doesn't want to let her in any further.
So she wraps her arms around Satoru, running fingers through her hair, and softly hums a little tune, hoping it'll lull Satoru to sleep. "Go to sleep, I'll wake you up once we arrive."
