Adam went automatically until he reached the bottom of the ladder and realized that something was wrong with this situation. He spun around to object, pressed close back against the ladder. "I ought to send for breakfast," he began, and then became acutely aware of his position. He'd spun too quickly, and Ronan was too close. Adam's mind stuttered. His eyes flicked to Ronan's lips, and then dropped away. "And... and tea," he finished, heart pounding with the knowledge of how close Ronan was to him.
