"Casual lounging in general is a particular skill of mine," Laurent answers. He's amused that the Beast seems to have a sense of humor, and he's increasingly able to see the beast as an object of amusement rather than of terror. When he's not angry, he looks a bit like a puzzled bear. Laurent thinks he'd rather like to see the Beast dance.

"Just a novel," Laurent says. He reads a variety of subjects, sometimes intellectual and sometimes nonsense. "I felt the need for some escapism."
