Laurent turned, surprised but hiding it well, and stepped into Nyx's arms in confirmation and acceptance of his words. He allowed a passing servant to take the cup of wine from him. "Which of us is leading?" he asked, settling his hands on Nyx's chest. Whatever madness had overtaken Nyx, it didn't seem to be subsiding, and it seemed most likely that he hadn't confessed the full breadth of the orders Auguste had given him, but Laurent wasn't about to draw attention to it. Besides, the thought of dancing with Nyx made his heart flutter. He could afford one dance to indulge his infatuation.
