I really did think he liked you. I can take over your guarding duties with him, I don't mind. That way you won't have to be around him."

She was sorry to be wrong about how Adam seemed to be drawn to Alec, but she trusted her brother's judgement, and if Alec was unhappy, that mattered to her more than anything involving some Mundane 'magician'.
