It seemed strange that they had went from tolerating each other to smiling at each other like they were a pair of teenagers. Mundane teenagers since he'd never seen Shadowhunters of any age smiling at each other the way Adam was smiling at him. Even his parents had never been that happy, even when Alec was a little boy.
