He could feel Adam watching him, but he ignored the sensation that it caused. The back of his neck itched or his habit of fidgeting was trying to make itself known. He didn't have to move. He was trained not to move if the situation called for stillness. Even when he really did want to look over at Adam.

"It doesn't matter if I'm hungry or not." Yes, he was, but he could ignore that too. He'd done it enough times over the years that it was almost habit. Why did Adam have to make everything a challenge? It was almost as bad as negotiating with the Seelie. Maybe Adam did have Seelie blood. That would explain so much... "I honor the Institute's promises and we promised to feed you. So get something to eat."
