"I just didn't want our first kiss to be in public," Adam said, smiling at the sight of Alec's grin. He liked it a lot that his kisses were worth that. It made him feel light and whole to know that he could make Alec happy, and that he could kiss him anytime he wanted. "I'll be careful when we're at the Institute. The rest of the time, I want everyone to know you're my boyfriend."

He stayed close to Alec, watching his eyes with a trusting smile. He didn't touch aside from keeping their hands clasped, but he didn't want to move out of Alec's space, either.
