They stopped holding hands as they neared the Institute, and Adam's hand felt cold the rest of the way. He tried not to look at Alec, worried that the longing or joy would show on his face at the sight of his boyfriend.

He couldn't help smiling when Alec asked him a question and he looked up into Alec's handsome face. "Probably. Wouldn't mind company, though."

Glancing past Alec down the hall, Adam retreated into his room, staying close to Alec and waiting only just until the door closed before grabbing the front of Alec's shirt and kissing him.
