Alec wasn't sure how he should take Adam's answer to the offer to stop asking questions. He'd given Alec gifts but acted like answering the questions was a duty not because of whatever had caused Adam to think of those small kindnesses. Adam touching him added another layer of confusion to something that Alec had thought was simple. He liked it which surprised him since he'd thought he'd been uncomfortable being near someone after so long. Was the contact duty as well or something genuine? Unsure if he should ask more questions or not, he closed the magazine and decided he'd research his questions after the priestess left.
