Fear and Adrenaline, for doctor_terror

From here.

Ashley smiled wryly at the question, tilting his head up to kiss the tip of Scarecrow's scarred nose. "Let me up," he said, pushing at Scarecrow and giving him a pout. Dizzy with afterglow from the intense orgasm, Ashley bit his lip, watching Scarecrow with low-lidded eyes. "You ought to learn how to finger someone."

I'd fill you with so much toxin you'd be seeing demons for days, is what Crane wanted to say. "Murder you, no. Punish you, perhaps I might." He allowed the threat to linger in the air. "Your parents are paying me to be your doctor, so for now, let's just call you my patient."

"Yes, you've been quite good," Crane said condescendingly. "Now then, you don't have any hidden fears, do you, Ashley?"

Crane jotted down some more notes. "True, many are afraid of the dark. Or rather, they're afraid of what may be lurking in the dark. There's also the feeling of helplessness that comes with not being able to see. It's a rather primal fear."

"Heights, hm?" Crane wrote that down too. "So I suppose I don't have to worry about you jumping out your window, even if you could open it. As for the dark, well, children often feel that monsters under the bed or the boogeyman might get them in the dark. Adults can have that instinctual fear as well, of monsters in the dark, especially if one reads lots of horror literature or watches too many scary movies. Or there's also the fear of serial killers hiding in the closet waiting for the lights to go out."

"I'm glad it's to your liking. You'll find works from Bram Stoker all the way to Stephen King," Crane said, still keeping his tone professional. "Me, afraid of the dark? It takes a lot to scare me, I'm afraid, but we all have a little primal fear in us, including the dark."

Crane looked down at his watch. "I suppose we can end early today. Just remember what I said about trying to slip away." He went back behind his desk to write down some more stuff, mostly to look busy.

Crane waited until he knew Ashley was gone before he went down into his wine cellar and opened up yet another hidden section of his house. This led to his chemistry lab, where he spent a good few hours mixing his toxin before lunch.

After that, he spent the rest of the afternoon reading and keeping an eye on the clock. He smiled to himself when he heard Ashley return. He put his book down and went to the kitchen, having made some soup for himself earlier, and poured a bowl, going up to Ashley's room and setting it by the door again. "If you wish to eat, your dinner is by the door." He went back down to the library to give it another half hour before switching personas.

[Btw, the book is quite good so far]

Crane waited until a half hour had passed before checking to make sure Ashley wasn't about to come downstairs while he changed. He activated the secret wall again and exchanged masks and clothes. Before going to Ashley's room, he went to his office to fetch a textbook he never thought he'd have to use until now.

Scarecrow, feeling a little dramatic tonight, raked his dull nails down Ashley's door, making a scraping sound and moaned, "Ashley..."

When Ashley didn't answer the door, Scarecrow slowly turned the knob, feeling like a creature out of a horror novel or fairy tale. He edged his way in slowly, closing the door behind him, the textbook still tucked under his arm.

"How is my pet tonight?"

"I suspect he is hiding more than he lets on," Scarecrow replied, approaching the bed. "I've been watching him from afar and from the shadows. He is fixated on you. I believe he did not bring you here to 'fix' you."

He finally set the textbook down on the nightstand. It was a sexual education book about kink. Crane had brought it with him from Gotham, and it had only been shelf-filler, much like any of his other textbooks that weren't psychology or chemistry related.

"Perhaps he is simply waiting for the right moment," Scarecrow replied coolly. "Waiting for you to let your guard down, perhaps." In truth, he was still debating whether to reveal his secret, or continue scaring him as Crane.

"I found that in his office. Perhaps it will give us ideas," He opened the book to a random page, namely a chapter about how to achieve multiple orgasms.

Scarecrow had to lean in and squint at the page to read it, since he'd left his reading glasses downstairs. He grinned wickedly when he looked back at Ashley.

"Oh yes..." He whispered. "The doctor has stepped out, so you can be as loud as you like." Though the idea of gagging him also crossed Scarecrow's mind.

"On your back, my dear," Scarecrow whispered, taking off his gauntlet and vest. He also took off the cloth gloves and set them aside. No sense in getting those dirty. "I want to see your pretty face as I take you."
